Postshort

A private desktop tool by PhunnySunny for preparing and publishing videos to the operator's authorized YouTube and Instagram accounts.

This is an information page, not a public upload service. PhunnySunny currently operates the tool only for its own authorized accounts. You cannot connect an account or publish a video from this website. YouTube account setup is in progress.

How the desktop workflow works

The operator prepares a video, Instagram caption, YouTube title, description and tags, destination accounts, and publishing settings in a local account-specific queue. The tool checks the content and connected account before the operator runs the posting command.

For YouTube, the tool uploads the selected video through YouTube API Services, applies the chosen privacy, audience, synthetic-media, and optional publishing-time settings, and saves the upload result locally. The operator can manage the resulting video in YouTube Studio. For Instagram, it uses Instagram's publishing API.

Requested privacy and scheduling settings are subject to YouTube's restrictions. An API upload may remain private even when the operator requested a public video.

Google authorization and permissions

Authorization happens in Google's sign-in and consent screens from the local desktop setup tool. Google returns the result to a local callback on the operator's computer. This public page does not collect Google passwords or tokens.

  • youtube.upload allows the tool to upload the video and metadata selected by the operator.
  • youtube.force-ssl grants broader YouTube account-management access. The current workflow uses it to confirm the authorized channel and support posting. It does not provide an automated comment moderation or video-deletion feature.
  • yt-analytics.readonly is requested for planned read-only channel performance reporting. This permission does not itself publish content, and reporting is not currently available through this website.

Permissions are limited to the account you authorize. You can decline authorization or revoke it later. The tool needs a locally stored refresh token to maintain the authorized connection without repeated sign-ins.

Your data and control

Account credentials, channel identifiers, source media, metadata, and posting records stay on the operator's computer unless needed for an authorized platform action. Uploading to YouTube sends the selected media and metadata to Google / YouTube. This static information page does not receive those files.

Stop posting jobs and revoke the connection through Google Account connections to stop future authorized access. Remove local credentials and records you no longer need. Revocation does not delete local data or uploaded videos; manage those videos in YouTube Studio.

About the TikTok demo

The separate TikTok creator-tool page is a sandbox demo. Its account connection and posting actions are simulated. It is not a production TikTok integration, and this Postshort page does not change that.
